FoundThatDeal covers the decisions people face a handful of times in a lifetime — arranging cover, borrowing money, hiring a contractor, replacing a car, organising care, dealing with a legal problem. In each case the person selling has done it thousands of times and you have not, and that asymmetry is where money is lost.

Our aim is narrow and practical. We are not trying to tell you what to buy. We try to explain how a category works, what actually drives the price, which differences between options matter and which are decoration, and what to check before committing. Where a decision genuinely depends on individual circumstances, we say so rather than manufacturing a recommendation.
